There is no correct answer on how often do you wash type 3B hair. This all depends on your hair type. If you have oily hair and scalp, then you might need to wash more often than those on the dry side. But this does not mean you need to wash with your regular shampoo. Do a reset wash with your normal shampoo at least once a week. For the rest of the week, you can try co-washing or using a no-poo hair cleanser or even a dry shampoo.

The regular shampoo contains chemicals that can strip off the natural oils from our hair and scalp. Once a week shampooing can remove product build-up and give a deep and thorough clean to your hair and scalp.
